Emily Cheng

Emily received her Master of Arts in Gerontology and Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Leisure from San Francisco State University. As a healthcare professional, she has worked with interdisciplinary teams of doctors, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, mental health specialists and dietitians to provide care for the elderly and persons with disabilities for over 10 years. She specializes in care coordination, communication, and memory care. She has served in a supervisory role, managing, leading, and training other healthcare professionals and volunteers to serve the elderly. She is passionate about assisting the aging population with maintaining their independence while living their highest quality of life. Her work prioritizes wellness of the mind, body, and spirit. She is driven by the bond she shared with her grandmother who passed of Alzheimer’s in the early 2000s. Emily continues to honor her grandmother’s memory through her services.

Emily is a San Francisco native who enjoys the diverse culture, people, and food of the Bay Area. When not providing service to her clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby boy, and cat. Drawing from her love of animals and her experience of providing animal assisted therapy in a hospital, she hopes to incorporate canine assisted therapy into her practice with enABLE.
