Care Manager

Adrienne Tejano

Adrienne is a graduate at San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics. For over ten years, Adrienne has built both her management and customer care skills while serving in hospitals and at a skilled nursing home here in the Bay Area. She has been a key interdisciplinary team member as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, who worked closely with doctors, nurses, social workers, and families to help provide individualized care plans for each resident. She helped identify the resident’s food preferences while also making sure they get the proper nutrition with medically safe meals. In addition, she also worked closely with the activities Director in identifying interests and social experiences that prevent isolation and help enrich the quality of life for each resident. Her favorite activity was engagement with the residents and preparing and cooking candlelight dinners for them and their families. It was in this role where Adrienne learned that most seniors were lacking the quality of life that they truly deserve and she was happy to provide impact while respecting each resident’s independence, safety and dignity.

Growing up she watched and helped her mother take meticulous care for her grandma who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. It was during this time in her life where she learned the challenges of not having the proper resources for her grandma in long term care. It was then that she quickly developed a passion to advocate for other seniors just like her grandma. Adrienne is a San Francisco native and loves the diversity of the people in the Bay Area. She currently resides in South San Francisco with her husband and three daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality family time and doing DIY crafting projects with her girls. She highly prioritizes health and wellness and loves trying recipes from different cultures to enjoy with her family.
