Exercise Lead, Care Manager

Danielle Kraus

As an occupational therapist by training, Danielle has chosen to focus her work on helping seniors maintain independence. She is passionate about using creativity and compassion, coupled with evidence based solutions, to help her patients regain and improve skills so they may live life to the fullest. Danielle earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology at Scripps College in Southern California and her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at San Jose State University. She practiced OT for over 14 years in a variety of healthcare environments including in-patient acute care, rehabilitation, and pediatric and adult outpatient community settings. Most recently she worked with seniors in an Adult Day Health Center focusing on health promotion, fall prevention and home safety. She has completed numerous continuing education courses focusing on geriatric health including Stroke and Parkinson’s care, creating functional and safe homes for patients with Dementia, and intervention and strategies for low vision deficits.

Danielle has lived in many parts of the Bay area since 2004 but recently settled in the city of Albany aka the “the urban village by the Bay”. When not tightening walker brakes you can find her skipping around with her two young daughters and husband, and spending time exploring nature. Danielle is most excited to bring her therapy skills and “OT eye” to care management and is currently working towards her care manager certification from NACCM.
